Obituary for Brenda Lee Ijames (Rowe)
On Sunday , March 5th, 2023 Brenda Lee Ijames departed this life peacefully in her home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was born on September 13, 1967 to the late Gordon Smith and Betty Porter Rowe.
Brenda was born and raised in Queens, New York. She received her education from the New York Board of Education School System. She attended Andrew Jackson High School in Cambria Heights , New York. Brenda had a heart of gold and enjoyed her life to the fullest. She will be remembered as a selfless altruistic person who loved her children, grandchildren and family. Brenda was a beautiful person inside and out. and there wasn’t a single person she didn’t love or that didn’t love her. She touched everyone that she met everywhere she went near and far. If you knew Brenda you knew her children , grandchildren and her dogs were her lifeline and meant the world to her. She loved helping people and opening her home to everyone. Brenda's meek smile and personality will be dearly missed.
She is proceeded in death by her grandson, Dakota.
Brenda leaves to cherish in her memories Mack Shearin (Love Life Partner), Michael A King ( First Love) and Michael A Ijames ( Husband); two brothers, Charles Rowe and Adrian Wright; three sisters, Tammy Wright, Sabrina Wright, and Thashe Wright; four biological sons, Michael A Shields, Brandon Rowe-Mundy, Marques Rowe and Justyn Islar; Kelvin Heiligh whom she called her son; two biological daughters, Meschelle Rowe and Oniesha Rowe-Mundy; Sha’Mek Harmon-Sherod and Shanelle King whom she called her daughters; grandchildren, Josiah, Leah, Nyree’, Myra’, Olivia ,Aiden,McKenzie, Micheal, Ava, Madison, Neveah, Aubree, Peyton, Acelyn, Jace, Adonis, Isabelle, Aaliyah and Maci; and a host of nieces , nephews , cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends and visitors on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at First Cremation Society, 804 N. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg NC 27549.
