Eleanor B. Gully, 86, of Raleigh, passed away on January 5, 2021 in Raleigh. She was born in March 18, 1934 in Washington D.C. a daughter of the late Kenneth Crees Beeson and Eleanor Nebergal Beeson. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Priscilla B. Marshall, father and mother-in-law, Henry and Sara Royce Gully, brother-in-law, Henry Royce Gully, sister-in-law, Cecily Winklestern Gully, and brother and sister-in-law, Lee DeWolf and Joanne Gully DeWolf, and niece Bethany Gully O’Connell.

Eleanor graduated in 1952 from Ithaca High School in Ithaca, NY. She then went on to Keuka College where she earned her BS degree in Administration in 1956. In June of 1956 she married the love of her life, Stewart Gully, and they were married for 65 years.
Eleanor was a very special, charming, witty, spirited lady to her family and friends who left so many fond memories; her great legacy, tenacity, wisdom, and her loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever. She had so many wonderful qualities and was a treasure to her family, and to all the people she encountered in her life. Eleanor lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment.
Eleanor was an accomplished Real Estate Agent, serving folks for over 30 years. She loved her family, reading, her beach house, bridge and traveling, going to over 20 countries. Eleanor lived in ten different states, was a PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) sister for 63 years, served as officers in many clubs such as PTA, PEO, Women's Junior League, youth hockey, American Field Service, and in many Methodist churches.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Stewart E. Gully, daughter Eleanor Lynn Orlando and her husband, John, son James Stewart Gully and his wife, Vicki, granddaughters: Taylor Lynn and Makenna Marie Orlando, Kendra Leigh and Kara Gully; nephews: Joshua Gully and his wife, Robin, Stewart Gully and his wife, Marie Lupo, Alan DeWolf and his wife, Linda, Steve DeWolf and his wife, Leslie, and she will also be missed by four great nieces and nephews, Caroline Gully, Elizabeth Gully, Joshua Gully, and Lucas Gully.
