Obituary for Mary Victoria Reynolds (Mazza)

Mary Victoria Reynolds passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the age of 85 while in loving care at her daughter’s home in Apex, North Carolina. She was born on December 1, 1934 in Queens, New York to Michael and Mary Mazza. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary lived most of her life in Lynbrook, New York before moving to Cary, North Carolina in 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frost Halberstadt; sons, William J. Frost (Joanne) and Michael C. Frost (Jackie); grandchildren, Levi Halberstadt, Lauren Seaberg, MJ Halberstadt, Caitlin Frost, Stephen Frost, and Arielle Frost; great-grandchildren, Sienna and Brayden Seaberg; and Leonard Miragliuolo. Her family knew her as “Mimi” or “Gigi”, and sent her love from all over the world. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, William Frost and Bruce Reynolds; and sister, Antoinette Mazza Balzano (Jack).
Mimi/Gigi loved laughing, watching series on her beloved big-screen TV, completing puzzles, playing cards, reading, listening to music and trading books. Some of her favorite memories include family holidays, and an unforgettable cruise on the Queen Mary II. Her family will especially remember her candid sense of humor and, in keeping with her nature, will reflect on her life together privately.
Those who would find it meaningful to make a charitable contribution in Mary’s memory are invited to make a donation in her name to:

Dear Mary, Billy & Mike,
We are so surprised and saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. We have many great memories of her from years ago. One that sticks out clearly in our minds is sitting around the table having dinner and then playing cards in the kitchen of the Summit Ave. house. May she rest in peace and know that she was a great woman! With sympathy and love,
Gary & Maryellen Occhipinti

Aunt Mary was sweet, funny, loving and just a joy to be around. I was honored she still let me call her family. May the angels welcome her in and may she forever rest in peace.
