Obituary for Randall Martin Sorrell

On Saturday, March 27, 2021 Randall Martin “Randy” Sorrell passed away at the age of 67.

Randy was born in Durham, NC on March 6, 1954 to Woodrow Thomas Sorrell, Sr. and Geraldine Martin Sorrell. He grew up in the Lowes Grove community and worked in the construction industry as a carpenter. He lived and worked many years in Jupiter, Florida before returning to Durham.

He was a very goodhearted person with a kind and gentle spirit. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by two sons; Ross Blair Pohl of Cocoa, Fla. and Travis Martin Sorrell (Kiera) of Jupiter, Florida as well as siblings Woodrow Thomas “Woody” Sorrell, Jr., Susan Sorrell “Susie” Whaley (Chuck) of Durham, Charles Robert “Bobby” Sorrell (Tammy) of Rougemont and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be holding a private memorial service.
